For-profit chronic and convalescent nursing homes receiving state funding must include profit and loss statements from related parties receiving $10,000 or more annually for goods, fees, and services in their annual reports to the Department of Social Services.

"Related party" is defined to include any company connected to the nursing home through family association, common ownership, control, or business association with owners, operators, or officials.

Nursing home rates continue to be determined annually by the Commissioner of Social Services based on reasonable costs, effective July 1, 2013.

The bill makes technical corrections to gender-neutral language and clarifies committee reporting requirements to the joint standing committees on aging, human services, and appropriations.
