Reduces the defendant's deposit deadline for use and occupancy payments from ten days to five days after the motion is filed.

Establishes that if a motion for use and occupancy is served with the complaint, the defendant must file any objection by the deadline for filing an appearance, rather than within five days of the motion filing.

Requires the court to conduct a hearing on a defendant's objection within seven days, after which the court orders use and occupancy deposits not later than five days after the hearing date.

Changes the default judgment procedure so that if a defendant fails to make ordered use and occupancy payments, the clerk immediately enters judgment by default in favor of the plaintiff.

Specifies that a defendant can only have a default judgment set aside if they have fully complied with prior use and occupancy payment orders and meet requirements under sections 47a-26i, 52-212, 52-212a and 52-259c.
