HB 6704 - Budget Summary

• Appropriates $17.19 billion from the General Fund for fiscal year 2013-2014 and $17.51 billion for fiscal year 2014-2015, effective July 1, 2013.

• Establishes appropriations for multiple state agencies and commissions including Legislative Management ($70.1 million for 2014-2015), Auditors of Public Accounts ($12.4 million), and Department of Social Services ($2.86 billion for 2014-2015).

• Appropriates funds from specialized accounts including Special Transportation Fund ($1.24 billion for 2013-2014), Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Fund ($61.8 million), Banking Fund ($26.6 million), and Workers' Compensation Fund ($23.7 million for 2013-2014).

• Authorizes transfers from various special funds and authorities to the General Fund totaling over $156 million combined, including from the Connecticut Resource Recovery Authority ($35 million), Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority ($30.4 million), and tobacco settlement funds ($13 million).

• Repeals section 12-494a of the general statutes, effective July 1, 2013.
