• Establishes a civil commitment process for persons convicted of sexually violent offenses or criminal offenses against minors as defined in Connecticut General Statutes Section 54-250
• Allows civil commitment upon three findings: conviction of the offense beyond a reasonable doubt, presence of a psychiatric disability such as pedophilia making the person dangerous, and reasonable likelihood of reoffending unless confined in a secure facility
