Requires individual health insurance policies to cover lung cancer screening tests based on recommendations from the American Lung Association (in consultation with the American Cancer Society), considering age, family history, and screening frequency, effective January 1, 2014.

Requires group health insurance policies to cover lung cancer screening tests under the same American Lung Association recommendations, effective January 1, 2014.

Applies to health insurance policies providing coverage types specified in subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11) and (12) of section 38a-469 of the general statutes delivered, issued, renewed, amended or continued in Connecticut.

Makes lung cancer screening benefits subject to the same policy provisions that apply to other covered services under the insurance policy.
