Allows hunting deer with bow and arrow on Sundays on private property, whereas Sunday was previously a closed hunting season with limited exceptions.

Requires hunters to obtain written permission from the private property owner and carry that permission while hunting.

Prohibits bow and arrow hunting on Sundays within 40 yards of blazed hiking trails.

Mandates compliance with wildlife management principles and practices established by the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Effective October 1, 2013; amends sections 26-73 and 26-86a of the general statutes.
