Department of Economic and Community Development shall establish and maintain a registry of small businesses owned and controlled by veterans and service-disabled veterans with principal places of business in the state.

Registry shall include business owner names, location, and type of business for each veteran-owned concern.

Department shall request registry information annually from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and other appropriate state and federal agencies.

Department shall submit annual reports to the joint standing committee on military and veterans' affairs providing an accounting of veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses in the state.

Definitions of "small business concern owned and controlled by veterans" follow the standards established in 15 USC 632(q).
