Bill Summary: SB01076 - Reduction of Gun Violence

• Expands definition of "assault weapon" to include additional semiautomatic firearms with specific features (effective July 1, 2013), with grandfather periods allowing possession of weapons owned before October 1, 1993 or July 1, 2013 if registered with Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
