Holders of alcoholic liquor permits issued under Connecticut General Statutes sections 30-16(f)/(g), 30-22a, 30-23, or 30-26 must provide potable water upon request to persons on the premises.

Water must be furnished at the permittee's expense and meet all federal and state purity requirements for drinking water.

Water must be supplied in a receptacle suitable for individual consumption of not less than twelve ounces per serving.

Permittees are not required to provide water during hours when sale or dispensing of alcoholic liquor is prohibited.

The Department of Consumer Protection may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew a liquor permit if the permittee violates these requirements; effective July 1, 2014.
