Commission on Aging must recognize communities implementing livable community initiatives by January 1, 2015, that allow individuals to age in place and remain in their chosen home settings.

Recognized livable community initiatives must include affordable and accessible housing, community and social services, planning and zoning regulations, walkability, and transportation-related infrastructure.

Department on Aging and Department of Social Services shall conduct quarterly meetings with nutrition service stakeholders to develop recommendations addressing administrative complexities in nutrition services.

Stakeholders in quarterly meetings include area agencies on aging, access agencies, Commission on Aging, nutrition providers, food security program representatives, nutrition host site representatives, and consumers.

Quarterly meetings shall establish quality control benchmarks and improve quality, efficiency, and transparency in the elderly nutrition program.
