Amends section 9-623(a) of the general statutes to change the penalty for knowingly and willfully violating Chapter 155 from a class D felony to a fine of up to $25,000, or a larger amount if specified elsewhere in the chapter.

Requires the Secretary of State or town clerk to notify the State Elections Enforcement Commission of any violations of Chapter 155 that come to their attention.

Directs that any fines collected for violations related to the office of the Treasurer be deposited on a pro rata basis into affected trust funds as defined in section 3-13c.

Takes effect upon passage.

Reinstates changes from Public Act 13-180 that were overridden by Public Act 13-258.
