Wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors must accept return of expired drugs from pharmacies within 180 days after the labeled expiration date and provide full refund or credit.

Definitions of "wholesaler," "manufacturer," and "distributor" reference section 21a-70 of the general statutes; "drug," "legend drug," and "pharmacy" reference section 20-571 of the general statutes.

Commissioner of Consumer Protection may adopt regulations in consultation with the Commission of Pharmacy to implement the law.

Commissioner may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew registration of violating wholesalers, manufacturers, or distributors, with opportunity for hearing and subpoena power granted to the commissioner.
