Requires individual health insurance policies to provide coverage for lung cancer screening tests based on recommendations from the American Lung Association, in consultation with the American Cancer Society, including age, family history, and frequency criteria.

Requires group health insurance policies to provide the same lung cancer screening coverage according to American Lung Association recommendations in consultation with the American Cancer Society.

Coverage applies to health insurance policies of the types specified in subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11) and (12) of Connecticut General Statutes section 38a-469.

Screening benefits are subject to standard policy provisions that apply to other covered services.

Effective date: January 1, 2015.
