Prohibits conducting or promoting sweepstakes or promotional drawings that are not related to the bona fide sale of goods, services, or property, or that use simulated gambling devices, effective July 1, 2014.

Defines "simulated gambling device" as any mechanically, electrically, or electronically operated machine capable of displaying simulated gambling displays such as video poker, slot machines, bingo, craps, keno, or lotto games.

Establishes that violators are subject to penalties for professional gambling under section 53-278b of the general statutes.

Declares simulated gambling devices used in illegal sweepstakes or promotional drawings to be common nuisances subject to seizure under section 53-278c.

Declares premises used for illegal sweepstakes or promotional drawings to be common nuisances subject to provisions in section 53-278e.
