Expands hearing aid coverage in individual and group health insurance policies to all individuals, removing the previous limitation to children twelve years of age or younger (effective January 1, 2015).

Requires the Insurance Commissioner to adopt regulations establishing a hearing loss standard and a graduated deductible scale for hearing aids corresponding to different levels of hearing loss.

Classifies hearing aids as durable medical equipment under insurance policies with a maximum benefit of $1,000 within any twenty-four-month period.

Applies to individual health insurance policies and group health insurance policies under specified coverage types in Connecticut general statutes sections 38a-490b and 38a-516b.
