• Amends Connecticut General Statutes Section 29-261(b) to require building officials and assistant building officials to ensure all inspections are performed by licensed inspectors holding the appropriate class of license

• Licensed inspectors must hold the appropriate class of license for the specific inspection being performed, as determined by regulations adopted by the State Building Inspector and the Codes and Standards Committee with Commissioner of Construction Services approval

• Applies existing requirements that building officials enforce compliance with the State Building Code, adopted rules, and construction-related laws regarding building erection, alteration, repair, removal, demolition, and maintenance

• Effective October 1, 2014
