Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Commissioner on Aging, shall conduct a comprehensive study of long-term care needs for state residents, effective July 1, 2014.

Study must collect data on residents age 65 and older in 2013 and projected numbers for 2020, residents with disabilities requiring long-term care in 2013 and 2020, and persons projected to require long-term care by 2020.

Study shall include data on residents transitioned from institutionalized to home and community-based settings under the Money Follows the Person program from 2010-2013 and associated state expenditure savings.

Commissioner of Social Services must submit a report to joint standing committees on aging and human services by July 1, 2015, which may include recommendations for addressing service gaps and improving access to long-term care services.
