Repeals a provision that required federal Medicare Part D retiree drug subsidy reimbursements to offset state appropriations to the retirement board for health insurance costs.

Restores retiree drug subsidy reimbursements to the retired teachers' health insurance premium account rather than using them to reduce state funding.

Effective July 1, 2014, amending General Statutes section 10-183t(a).

Allows the state to continue appropriating one-third of the cost of basic health benefit plans for retired teachers and their eligible spouses and disabled dependents without reduction from federal drug subsidy receipts.
