Insurers may post insurance policies and endorsements on their websites without personally identifiable information, effective October 1, 2014.

Insurers electing to post policies online instead of mailing must provide the insured with a description of the purchased policy and endorsements, the website address where documents are posted, and a method to obtain free paper copies upon request.

Posted policies and endorsements must remain accessible and printable using widely available, free internet programs for the duration the policy is in force.

Insurers must retain records of expired policies and endorsements for five years after expiration and make them available upon request.

Insurers must notify insureds of any policy or endorsement changes and provide information on how to obtain free paper copies of updated documents.
