Amends Connecticut General Statutes Section 53a-156 to establish enhanced penalties for expert witnesses who commit perjury, effective October 1, 2014.

Maintains perjury as a Class D felony when committed by any person making false statements under oath or unsworn declaration in official proceedings.

Requires expert witnesses convicted of perjury to receive a mandatory fine of not less than $3,000 in addition to any term of imprisonment.

Preserves the existing affirmative defense that the defendant was coerced into committing perjury in violation of coercion statutes.
