Prohibits zoning commissions from requiring special permits or special exceptions for the continuance of nonconforming uses, buildings, or structures that existed before adoption of new zoning regulations.

Amends Connecticut General Statutes Section 8-2 to clarify that nonconforming uses may continue without obtaining additional permits when zoning regulations change.

Takes effect October 1, 2015.

Maintains existing protections that zoning regulations cannot prohibit the continuation of nonconforming uses, buildings, or structures that existed at the time regulations were adopted.
