Changes the mechanic's lien filing deadline from ninety days to ninety business days after the person ceases performing services or furnishing materials.

Requires filing of a written certificate with the town clerk of the town where the building or land is located, describing the premises, amount claimed, owner's name, and commencement date.

Maintains the requirement that the certificate be subscribed and sworn to by the claimant and state that the claimed amount is justly due.

Requires service of a true and attested copy of the certificate upon the property owner within thirty days after lodging the certificate with the town clerk.

Takes effect October 1, 2015.
