Probate Court employees are recognized as state employees for purposes of Chapter 68 (collective bargaining), effective October 1, 2015.

Amends Section 45a-21 to add an exception allowing probate court employees to engage in collective bargaining as state employees while maintaining their non-state employee status for other purposes.

Removes language from Section 45a-21 that previously required probate court employees to "serve at the pleasure of the judge."

Amends Section 45a-8a(g) to clarify that regional children's probate court employees are also recognized as state employees for purposes of Chapter 68.

Both amendments take effect October 1, 2015.
