Amends section 31-60 of general statutes effective October 1, 2015, to prohibit employers from imposing surcharges on or reducing gratuities paid to employees through credit card transactions, and excludes such altered gratuities from counting toward minimum wage requirements.

Requires employers who impose surcharges on or reduce gratuities from credit card transactions to post prominent notice on their premises informing patrons of such surcharges or reductions, effective upon passage.

Maintains existing gratuity percentages recognized as part of minimum wage: 36.8% for hotel and restaurant industry workers (excluding bartenders), 18.5% for bartenders, and up to 35 cents per hour for other industries.

Directs the Labor Commissioner to adopt and update regulations defining executive, administrative, and professional employees by October 1, 2000, and every four years thereafter.
