Appropriates $200,000 each to four organizations for fiscal year 2016: United Way of Coastal Fairfield County in Bridgeport, Norwalk ACTS, United Way of Western Connecticut in Stamford, and Bridges to Success Community Partnership in Waterbury.

Funds support the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Collective Impact movement, a public-private partnership initiative focused on improving child and family outcomes.

Targeted outcome areas include infant health, kindergarten readiness, third grade reading, middle grade reading and math, high school completion, reduced violence exposure, post-secondary enrollment and completion, and youth employment.

Total appropriation of $800,000 from the General Fund for community-based cradle-to-career efforts led by designated lead agencies in four Connecticut communities.
