Amends section 10-16p(b) of the general statutes to allow individuals with an associate's degree containing 12 or more credits in early childhood education or child development to meet staff qualification requirements for school readiness programs.

Qualification determination for associate degrees in early childhood education or child development is made by the Commissioner of Early Childhood or the president of the Board of Regents for Higher Education.

Applies specifically to persons who have been teachers in an approved early childhood education program since 2005.

Satisfies staff qualification requirements previously listed under subparagraphs (B) and (C) of subdivision (2) of section 10-16p(b).
