Effective October 1, 2015, expands the definition of entities that can provide health insurance to include "hospital service corporations" and "medical service corporations" throughout Connecticut's insurance statutes in numerous sections.

Replaces outdated or informal language throughout the insurance code with standardized terminology, such as changing "which" to "that" and "homeowner's" to "homeowners" across multiple statutes.

Modifies section 38a-336 regarding uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage to allow pedestrians struck by vehicles owned by the named insured to receive coverage during vehicle theft.

Eliminates outdated notification requirements for maternity coverage (section 38a-503c and 38a-530c) and repeals redundant glass claims disclosure provisions (section 38a-354a).

Makes technical corrections to cross-references and definitions throughout the insurance statutes, including updates to section references for the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange and rate regulation definitions.
