Amends Section 52-225c of the general statutes to add an exception allowing municipalities with self-insured health plans to recover payments from collateral sources.

Maintains the existing prohibition preventing insurers and other entities from recovering collateral source benefits from defendants or other parties in personal injury or wrongful death claims.

Creates a new subsection (b) that specifically exempts municipalities with self-insured health plans from the general prohibition on collateral source recovery.

Effective October 1, 2015.
