Allows trustees, income beneficiaries, or majority of beneficiaries of inter vivos trusts to petition Probate Court for appointment of a successor trustee after the settlor's death when no successor is named or the named successor is unable or unwilling to serve.

Probate Court may appoint a suitable person or institution as successor trustee or trustee of any subtrust created under the trust.

Applies to both revocable and irrevocable inter vivos trusts in the jurisdiction where the settlor or grantor resided immediately prior to death.

Takes effect October 1, 2015.
