Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Commissioner on Aging, shall conduct a study of long-term care needs to determine if existing programs and strategies are sufficient.

Study must include 2014 and 2020 projections of state residents age 65 and older and residents with disabilities requiring long-term care.

Study must analyze Money Follows the Person demonstration project data from 2010-2014, including number of residents moved from institutional to home and community-based settings and resulting state expenditure savings.

Commissioner of Social Services must report study results and may include recommendations for addressing service gaps by July 1, 2016 to joint standing committees overseeing aging and human services.
