Child fatality review panel shall review current policies, practices, and procedures for protecting children ages birth to three years from unexpected death or critical injury

Panel must submit report to joint standing committees on children and education by October 1, 2016, addressing effectiveness of protection policies and recommending administrative or legislative improvements

Office of the Child Advocate, in consultation with the child fatality review panel, shall conduct a study on causes and rates of child fatalities in the state

Child Advocate must submit annual reports beginning July 1, 2016, to joint standing committees on children and education regarding child fatality causes and rates

Joint standing committees must hold a joint public forum within 60 days of receiving each annual Child Advocate report to discuss causes and rates of child fatalities
