Connecticut State Employees Retirement Commission shall conduct a study on the feasibility of amending chapter 66 of the general statutes to allow state employee retirement benefits to be paid to beneficiaries immediately upon the employee's death.

Labor Commissioner must submit a report to the joint standing committee on labor no later than January 1, 2016, detailing the study findings and recommendations for administrative or legislative changes.

Report shall address what actions are necessary to enable the transfer of state employee retirement benefits to beneficiaries immediately following an employee's death.

Legislation takes effect from passage.
