Requires hands-on training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the secondary level, including chest compressions and automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), as part of the mandatory school curriculum.

Allows local and regional boards of education to accept gifts, grants, and donations (including in-kind donations) to purchase equipment and materials needed to provide CPR and AED training.

Removes CPR and AED training from the list of optional topics that the State Board of Education may encourage schools to include, making it a required component instead.

Takes effect July 1, 2015, and amends Section 10-16b of the general statutes.
