Amends Connecticut General Statutes section 38a-457(a) to revise definitions related to accelerated benefits of life insurance policies, effective October 1, 2015

Expands the definition of "qualifying event" to include medical conditions where the insured is considered chronically ill under Internal Revenue Code Section 101(g) and has been confined for at least six months in a residence or care institution

Allows advanced practice registered nurses (in addition to physicians) to certify the occurrence of qualifying events for accelerated benefits, with approval authority granted to the Insurance Commissioner for other foreign or domestic jurisdictions

Clarifies language by replacing "which" with "that" in the definitions of accelerated benefits and qualifying events
