Repeals and replaces Section 49-34 of the general statutes regarding mechanic's lien filing requirements, effective October 1, 2015.

Requires a person rendering services or furnishing materials to lodge a written certificate with the town clerk within 90 days of ceasing work, describing the premises, amount claimed, claimant name, and commencement date.

Mandates serving a true and attested copy of the certificate upon the property owner within 30 days of lodging it, using the service method specified in Section 49-35.

Adds requirement that the claimant must hold appropriate state registration or license to render the services, if such registration or license is required by the state.

Changes terminology from "performing" to "rendering" for consistency with related statutes.
