Commissioner of Housing shall conduct a study on state-assisted housing for elderly tenants (age 62+) in consultation with the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Department on Aging, and other relevant agencies, effective July 1, 2015.

Study shall examine the financial impact of younger tenants with disabilities on housing availability, negative incidents and evictions between elderly and younger disabled tenants from 2010-2014, and available support services and gaps.

Study shall include recommendations for providing comparable housing if the state reserves units for either elderly or younger disabled tenants, and estimate additional state appropriations needed to implement recommendations.

Commissioner of Housing shall submit report to joint standing committees on aging and housing by January 15, 2016.
