Commissioner of Education shall designate a Department of Education employee (preferably with gifted and talented student experience) to provide information and assistance to local boards of education and parents regarding awareness, identification, and services for gifted and talented students, effective July 1, 2015

Department of Education shall study the provision of services to gifted and talented students, examining best practices for addressing intellectual, social, and emotional needs of these students

Department of Education shall research using technology to extend and advance curriculum materials for gifted and talented students without promoting them to higher grade levels

Department of Education shall submit a report with findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee on education no later than January 1, 2016
