Connecticut Sentencing Commission shall conduct a comprehensive study of the sexual offender registration system, effective October 1, 2015

Study shall examine sentencing of sexual offenders, risk assessment and management, registration requirements under chapter 969, public and law enforcement information access, and effectiveness of tiered classification systems

Study shall evaluate methods to reduce recidivism, housing obstacles for registrants, post-sentence appeal options for registry status, and victim services and community education needs

Commission shall submit an interim report by February 1, 2016, and final report by December 15, 2017, to the joint standing committee on judiciary

Each report shall include recommendations for legislation
