Amends threatening in the first degree (Connecticut General Statutes Section 53a-61aa) to establish a new subdivision (4) making threats to cause evacuation of preschools, schools, or institutions of higher education a class C felony, effective October 1, 2015.

Amends threatening in the second degree (Section 53a-62) to add subdivision (4) making threats against persons in school buildings or on school grounds during school hours or school-sponsored activities a class D felony, elevated from class A misdemeanor.

Expands definition of threatening in the first degree to include threats involving hazardous substances or crimes of violence with intent to cause evacuation of buildings, places of assembly, or facilities of public transportation.

Changes gender-specific pronouns throughout statutes to gender-neutral language ("such person" replaces "he/his").

Both amendments become effective October 1, 2015.
