Allows landlords to recover possession of rental premises when the sole occupant dies by following procedures in Section 47a-11d, effective October 1, 2015.

Requires landlords to notify the deceased occupant's emergency contact (if designated) and next of kin by regular and certified mail, stating intent to remove possessions and re-rent within 60 days.

Landlords must file an affidavit with probate court, inventory possessions after 30 days, and wait 15 days after filing the inventory before removal and storage.

Establishes procedure for landlord to obtain a certificate from probate court after 60 days have elapsed, then file in superior court to obtain execution for removal by state marshal.

Designates municipal chief executive officer to store possessions, conduct public auction sale after 15 days if not reclaimed, and distribute proceeds to the deceased occupant's estate or State Treasurer if no estate proceedings commence.
