Each board of education must file a copy of the end-of-year school report (required by statute section 10-227) with the town clerk within ten business days of submission to the Commissioner of Education, effective July 1, 2016.

All special education expenses and information identifying individual students must be redacted from the school report before filing with the town clerk.

Town boards of finance may increase, decrease, or eliminate any noneducational expenses in a local board of education's proposed budget, notwithstanding any conflicting provisions in state law, charters, or ordinances, effective July 1, 2016.
