Allows breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) to be used as an alternative to traditional mammography for baseline screening of women ages 35-39 and annual screening for women ages 40 and older, at the woman's option.

Applies to both individual and group health insurance policies in Connecticut effective January 1, 2017.

Requires coverage for comprehensive ultrasound screening of entire breast(s) when mammograms show dense breast tissue or when women are at increased risk for breast cancer due to family history, prior diagnosis, positive genetic testing, or physician recommendation.

Requires coverage for magnetic resonance imaging of entire breast(s) in accordance with American Cancer Society guidelines.
