Requires notice of motor vehicle repossession to inform buyers they are responsible for removing personal property from the vehicle prior to repossession.

Mandates that within three days of repossession, the contract holder must provide written notice indicating the date when the buyer can access the vehicle to remove personal property.

Allows buyers fifteen days after repossession to remove personal property from the motor vehicle at no cost.

Effective October 1, 2016, amending sections 36a-785(b) and (c) of the general statutes.
