Requires all local and regional boards of education to provide annual training to paraprofessionals beginning with the school year commencing July 1, 2016, and each year thereafter.

Training must provide information on duties and responsibilities expected of each paraprofessional and be tailored to the specific needs of the student or students assigned to that paraprofessional.

Training must be provided before the start of the school year by the paraprofessional's immediate supervisor and must be compensated with pay.

For paraprofessionals hired or reassigned after the school year begins, training must be completed before the assignment or reassignment takes effect.
