Removes the requirement that the Town of Brooklyn elect three members of the town school committee at annual elections and six members at biennial elections, effective July 1, 2016.

Transfers authority over the election, number, and term of town school committee members to the general statutes beginning July 1, 2016.

Amends Section 1 of Special Act No. 256 of 1929 to delete references to school committee elections while maintaining provisions for electing selectmen, auditors, constables, assessors, and other town officials.

Amends Section 2 of Special Act No. 256 of 1929 to remove the requirement that six school committee members be elected with three from each major political party.
