Allows probate court judges and employees to aggregate their years of service between the Probate Judges and Employees Retirement System and the Municipal Employees' Retirement System for retirement benefit calculations.

Permits probate judges and employees who transition to municipal employment to count that service toward their retirement credits if they participate in the municipal employees' retirement system.

Requires that upon subsequent retirement, a member's retirement income be recomputed based on total credited service and three highest-paid years across all public service employment.

Guarantees that recomputed retirement income cannot be less than the original retirement income plus any cost-of-living adjustments that occurred during the period of reemployment.

Effective date: October 1, 2016.
