Adds a new category of threatening in the first degree when a threat is made against a family support magistrate, family support referee, or judge (elected or appointed) and is related to their official duties, classified as a class C felony instead of the standard class D felony.

Adds a new category of threatening in the second degree when a threat is made against a family support magistrate, family support referee, or judge (elected or appointed) and is related to their official duties, classified as a class D felony instead of the standard class A misdemeanor.

Updates pronouns in threatening statutes from gender-specific language ("he," "his") to gender-neutral language ("such person").

Effective date of October 1, 2016 for all amendments to sections 53a-61aa and 53a-62 of the general statutes.
