Defines collapse coverage to include impairment of structural integrity of the dwelling caused by hidden decay or defective materials and construction methods.

Mandates coverage for mitigation efforts undertaken to prevent covered dwellings from falling down or caving in.

Applies to all homeowners insurance policies issued or renewed on or after the effective date of the legislation.
