Increases maximum vehicle width from 102 inches to 14 feet for vehicles requiring special permits from the Commissioner of Transportation, effective October 1, 2016.

Increases maximum length allowance for truck and trailer combinations from 65 feet to 110 feet, while removing provisions for utility pole transporters and specialized equipment.

Modifies escort requirements for vehicles between 12 and 16 feet in width on undivided highways to require not more than two police vehicles instead of a single escort vehicle.

Restricts travel hours for oversized vehicles (greater than 12 feet but no greater than 16 feet wide) on undivided highways to 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Repeals sections 14-262b and 14-262d of the general statutes.
