Expands the domestic violence restraining order application form to allow applicants to indicate whether the respondent holds firearm permits, eligibility certificates, long gun certificates, ammunition certificates, or possesses firearms or ammunition.

Requires courts to notify the state's attorney when an applicant indicates they have probable cause to believe the respondent poses a risk of imminent personal injury, triggering proceedings for firearm seizure under section 29-38c.

Establishes a warrant procedure allowing judges to order seizure of firearms and ammunition from individuals deemed to pose a risk of imminent personal injury based on recent threats, acts of violence, or cruelty to animals.

Requires a hearing within 14 days of warrant execution where the state must prove by clear and convincing evidence that the person poses a risk of imminent injury; firearms may be held for up to one year or must be returned.

Allows individuals whose firearms are seized to transfer them to eligible persons, and clarifies that firearm seizure actions do not preclude other civil or criminal relief.
